The EDGES programs teach children of all ages the correct skating fundamentals, in a safe and fun environment. The sole emphasis is on building a strong base of skating skills that introduce the participant to the life long enjoyment of skating, in all its various forms.

Operations Manager / Director Janice Cook is a level three certified coach (International Certification). She has been coaching for 30 years and teaching children to skate from the beginner levels to training elite skaters at the national level. In addition, she has worked with several hockey players and teams to enhance their skating skills. Her goal for the program is to deliver a professionally organized "fun for all" program that teaches the fundamentals of skating and provides a good form of excercise.

Head Supervisor, Lynn Tennant, has been involved in skating all of her life, both as a competitive figure skater and as a coach. Lynn transitioned from competitor to coach over twenty years ago and skating remains her passion today. This passion is reflected in her versatility and accreditations for both figure skating and power skating. Lynn has the ability to combine and deliver quality programs using her vast knowledge and skills in both disciplines, maximizing the performance potential for her students, in a hard working but fun environment. Lynn's long coaching career has provided support and encouragement to many skaters at all levels. Lynn has been club coach in the area for over ten years and has taught learn to skate programs for all ages, from young children to adults. Lynn is both a level two Figure Skating Certified Skate Canada Coach and a Power Skating Certified Skate Canada coach, which enables her to deliver a vast range of programs including, but not limited to partnering figure skating competitors for dance to power skating and hockey drills for entire hockey teams. Ultimately, Lynn's goal is to ensure that each skater develops to their full potential, while fostering the enthusiasm and passion to succeed. Lynn is dedicated to skating on a full time basis. Lynn actively participates in professional development for skating coaches and is certified in first aid. When not teaching, Lynn enjoys pleasure skating and playing recreational hockey.

Head Supervisor, Katrina Pyke, Katrina is a Gold Test Ice Dancer, and former Preliminary Judge. Her love of skating has kept her active in the sport as a spectator, synchro team member, and coach for Edges Learn to Skate. She has worked with and taught children the basics of skating for over 30 years.
